Connect to country Naidoc week

Melburnians! What an exciting way to celebrate Naidoc week and the school holidays! Manningham Council is organising events connecting us to country. 

6th July 

Come to the Woiwurrung language Workshop where kids can learn the traditional Dreaming stories of Bunjil (eagle), Waa (raven), why Gurrborra (Koala) doesn’t drink water and all about Dulaiwurrong (platypus ‘proud lips’)! More information in the link below:

9th July

Come to Pound Bend and connect to Wurundjeri country through stories, bush walks and learning Woiwurrung language with Wurundjeri elder Uncle Bill Nicholson. Children welcome, free entry, bring wet weather gear just in case.
