Well this week we passed the winter solstice which means days start getting longer and although temperatures usually take a dive, spring seems not too far away.
Always remember the phrase PRUNE IN JUNE! This is the time to cut back dead/diseased wood in your garden, opening up the flowering/fruiting stems of roses and citrus to more sunlight and air movement to reduce disease.
Its also a great time to interrupt the life cycles of many of our pest insects (aphids, scale, codling moth etc) with simple pesticide-free tricks to reduce their numbers in springtime.
Naturelovers can teach you all you need to know in this time of the year, so you have the skills and understanding to ensure your garden thrives!
